More Savannah Cuties

Here's round 2 of my cute savannah animal designs.  There are 4 more left and then all my sketches will be vector art.  Yay! 

Picnic Time

I was just fooling around in Illustrator today, taking a break from doing work, and these little guys showed up. I like them. They're cute. And hungry. 

Sketch Crawl Watercolors

I went sketch crawling today all by myself at Animal Kingdom. I did some gestures (all of which turned out like crap), and some watercolors, which turned out slightly better. I'm still not thrilled by them.. but I'm very indifferent, which scores better than my gestures. The Okapi and Golden Pheasant were done without any pencil drawing first: just pure, naked watercolor. 

Hee hee.. I said 'naked'.

The dinosaur is a sketch of a really cool DinoLand USA play area sculpture that I've always loved. It's a Corythosaurus, my favorite dinosaur! 

Savannah Cuties

So I was just doodling over the weekend and I, of course, wound up with a few cute little animals. Then I decided to keep going. And then I decided to scan them and give 'em the old vector art treatment courtesy of Le Illustrator.  I wanted a little bit more of a professional look for them, so I focused on line more with this batch.  

Here are the first 4 of my 'Savannah Cuties' character line. More are coming soon: I just gotta ink them. (The antelope is my personal favorite. :D)

Sporty Chick

Just a couple of sketches I did of a sports-playing girl. I had a lot of fun doing these, and I like how they turned out.

Monkeez

Hi everybody! Work has been CRAZY for a really long time.. plus holiday magic and all... but I'm trying to do more work on my own. (I know, I know.. I've said that before..)

I did these monkeys today in about 20 minutes. Nothing fancy, just Illustrator work. I'm trying to tap into my cute tendancies more.
